Jun 17, 2008 – (Brooklyn, NY)-Most cruise lines give one free cruise fare for every 16 full fares sold in group space. This free fare is referred to as a tour conductor pass. The tour conductor pass provide free passage for the group’s leader depending on the cabin type sold the most.
If you have enough people, your mate will also sail for free. This is how the cruise lines usually figure a group’s tour conductor policy:
1 for 15 means the 16th person sails for free.
2 for 30 means the 31st and 32nd passengers sail free.
3 for 45 means the 46th, 47th, 48th passengers go free!
Third and fourth passengers in a triple/quad cabin are not usually counted towards a tour conductor pass.
Port charges, government taxes and fees, gratuities, airfare, personal expenses onboard like soda and alcoholic beverages, and fuel supplement charge is not included. Everyone must pay this.
